GRI Associate Director for Governmental Affairs Elected President of the Mississippi Water Resources Association (MWRA)
August 20, 2004Jeff Ballweber, JD, Associate Director for Governmental Affairs of the GRI, was elected President of the Mississippi Water Resources Association (MWRA) at the August 2004 Annual Meeting. The Mississippi Water Resources Association is a coalition of public and private corporations that oversees the management and development of Mississippi's water resources, including its ports, harbors, river systems and flood control, waterways and water supply. The MWRA serves as a liaison between federal, state, and local agencies responsible for regulating water resources. It provides members with up-to-date information on water-related concerns such as current and proposed ordinances and legislation.
