Dr. Mehra will be working in the World Weather Buildingalong with some 500 plus NOAA associated professionals. Quite a change fromthe uncrowded environment at GRI Stennis. He expects that his 15 minuteride to work each day may take up to an hour or more if he leaves too late.

Dr. Mehra had joined GRI Stennis in 1995 when it was called the Center forAir Sea Technology. He came to us as a post doctoral assistant from theUniversity of Virginia and leaves 9 years later as an Associate ResearchProfessor. His area of research was primarily numerical ocean modeling, butin recent years he had also assisted in enterprise computational servicesdevelopment applied to a numerical modeling infrastructure.
