WISDOM Balloon Launch for Tropical Storm IDA

WISDOM (Weather In-Situ Deployment Optimization Method) balloon launch operations for Tropical Storm Ida have begun this afternoon in Waveland MS, which will be followed by launches tomorrow from Puerto Rico and Florida. Additional launches are not planned at this time from other sites.

NOAA and MSU NGI/GRI researchers will monitor TS Ida's progress overnight and send out another launch update tomorrow November 6 by 1900 UTC regarding additional launches for Saturday.
