Alabama County Agents Visit GRI for Precision Ag Knowledge

Story PhotoAs part of their 3rd Annual Crop and Field Days, a group of Alabama County Agents and Agronomists recently visited the GRI to learn more about Mississippi State University's Precision Agriculture and Advanced Spatial Technologies in Agriculture (ASTA) programs. Organized by Auburn University's Extension Service, the group was on their last leg of a 3-day tour of the Mississippi Delta and Mississippi State University. The GRI arranged presentations given by GRI Research Associate Wade Givens, GRI Associate Extension Professor Scott Samson, Plant and Soil Sciences Professor Dan Reynolds, and Forest and Wildlife Resources Professor Wes Burger.

The group of visitors also enjoyed a catfish lunch as part of the program prior to returning to Alabama to share what they learned.
