GRI's own, Dr. John Madsen, to be Visiting Professor at Wheaton College Science Station

Dr. John Madsen, GRI Assistant Extension/Research Professor, will be a Visiting Professor at the Wheaton College Science Station, Black Hills National Forest, and will teach Biology 343 "Plant Taxonomy" to biology majors from May 29 to June 16, 2006. The Wheaton College Science Station is a remote field laboratory of Wheaton College in Wheaton, IL.

In 1978, Dr. Madsen was a student at the Wheaton College Science Station, and returned in 1986 as an instructor. Established for field instruction in the natural sciences in 1935, Wheaton College Science Station is located at 4400 feet above sea level, with a beautiful 50-acre campus surrounded by the Black Hills National Forest and scenic Rapid Creek. The mission of Wheaton College Science Station is to "study God's creation under competent and enthusiastic instructors in the atmosphere of a friendly Christian community."
